Meet Melynda Cook Howard

Welcome to my website. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell you a little more about myself, my practice and my mission.

I began practicing law because I truly wanted to be able to help people. I knew that the law was unfamiliar to most people, and scary and intimidating to others. But the law is here to serve us, protect us, and provide fair and accessible recourse when we are wronged. Over 25 years as an attorney, I know that good legal counsel is very helpful and does make a difference in legal proceedings and outcomes.

In Service To My Community And Clients

At some point in each of our lives, we will have an interaction with the law. That interaction may be an excessive speeding ticket, an OVI or underage drinking, or a family issue. In these instances, choosing the right representation can make a world of difference.

I do not believe that we are our mistakes. I do believe we all make mistakes and, given the right circumstances, can learn from them and move forward. More often than not, these missteps often afford us the opportunity for self-assessment and growth.

Some of you may recognize my name because I formerly served as a municipal judge. It is my honor and privilege to be able to enact positive change in our community in a way that is tough, fair and always tempered with humanity and compassion. This experience affords me additional insight into our Ohio courts and justice system.
